It’s been a rough college football season for me…and we’re only 1/3 of the way through! UofA is 2-3 and there’s simply no reason for optimism coming from the program. Kevin Sumlin isn’t coaching ‘his guys’ and the new offensive system has turned dynamic playmaker Khalil Tate into a substandard pocket passer.
But I’m hopeful that the Wildcats can even their record this weekend against a hit-or-miss Cal team. And to make my weekend possibly better, can the Colorado Buffaloes begin 5-0 with a win over my arch nemesis, ASU? Find out what the experts think below!

This Week’s Bold Prediction:
EC: Central Florida keeps annihilating teams week-in, week-out. Right now they’re ranked 12th in the AP poll…but here’s my question, if there’s enough carnage in the top-10 over the next 9 weeks, could they find a way to sneak into the Final Four with another undefeated season? Expect this to become a storyline sooner than later with QB McKenzie Milton an sleeper Heisman candidate. Remember that Peach Bowl victory vs. Auburn last year? I have a feeling that the playoff committee won’t forget it either.
JB: The Red River Rivalry returns to its glory status. Texas – led by ‘Big Game Tom’ (Herman) – survives an early offensive onslaught by the Sooners, comes back to officially announce their return to relevance.
SD: This is the week Khalil Tate finally gets benched by coach Kevin Sumlin.
SM: Coming off an impressive come-from-behind win in Happy Valley in the White Out game, Ohio State absolutely destroys Indiana by over 40. Dwayne Haskins surpasses Tua Tagovailoa and Kyler Murray as the Heisman Trophy frontrunner by accounting for 6 TDs and 400 total yards.
GS: I’m picking Boston College to not only cover the 5 point spread against NC State, but look to them as the upset special of the week as they always plays the Wolfpack tough. Also, I’m picking a second upset: Nevada will take down Fresno State in Reno on Saturday night as a 12.5 point underdog! Give me Nevada and Boston College with the upsets!
