Update (January 2023): It’s been a crazy last two-and-a-half years since I left Phoenix sports radio but hope you’re still following me on Twitter to see where you can watch and hear my sports takes. I’ve been fortunate enough to transition into the sports betting industry working for my all-time favorite sports analytics website, SportsLine, after an eight month stint with Caesars Sportsbook here in Arizona. I’m a contributor on the national daily video / audio podcast Early Edge and the sister show, Early Edge in 5 which has been an absolute blast! I’m still making college football picks during the season via SportsLine and hopefully will put up an article or two on this site between now and next season. And for you UofA fans, there’s a new episode of Wildcat Country every week with Shane Dale and myself. We started that back up in August 2020 and have kept it going ever since with some awesome guests that true Arizona fans have / will enjoy. So thanks for circling back to Cohen’s Corner and hope to post more here going forward!

Do you remember those Panini NFL sticker books from the late-1980s? As crazy as it sounds, placing those players’ stickers on their respective team’s pages essentially taught me how to read at a very young age. It also helped create my passion for sports which has only grown over the years.
Yes, I’m the type of sports nerd who can recite the score of every Super Bowl off the top of my head (with 98% accuracy)…not to mention name the head coaches, starting quarterbacks, and of course MVPs.
My dream job growing up was to become a football and baseball play-by-play announcer but without regrets, I never was willing to travel from small market to small market to pursue that dream. Fortunately I did get the chance to talk sports on local Phoenix television and to participate in Super Bowl Media Day in 2015 – check those off the bucket list!

One day though, I’m going to make my mark in the sports industry – some day, somehow.
These days – it doesn’t matter which sport is on – football, basketball, baseball, hockey, golf, horse racing, even NASCAR – I’m watching it (and sometimes I may have a financial interest in the outcome).
I’ve run the ECFFL (Eric Cohen Fantasy Football League) since 1997 and in 20 years, I still haven’t won it (2nd place finisher in ’97, ’04, ’05, ’15, ’16). I also run fantasy leagues / pools for fantasy baseball, college football, college basketball, and golf.

I love all things University of Arizona (my alma mater), the Chicago Cubs, attending college football games, trying to lower my golf handicap, playing slow pitch softball with my squad, and spending time with my friends and family.

On this blog, I hope you’ll enjoy my random sports ramblings and predictions in addition to whatever else is on my mind at the time.
Agree or disagree with my thoughts – or just want to be in touch? Feel free to email or interact on Twitter. Looking forward to hearing from you!
